Private tutor in Imperial Beach, CA
Education
Double major Economics and Political Science with emphasis in Public Law at University of California, San Diego with a 3.109 GPA. Emergency Medical Technician from Pikes Peak Community College. Was previously pursuing Japanese and Paramedic before changing schools and majors. My future plans are to continue to grad school for an MBA, masters in Planning, JD, and PhD in Economics.
Experience
I don't have paid tutoring experience, though I'm well accustomed to explaining class materials to classmates that needed help all throughout high school and college. I've also spent some time helping a friend's primary school daughter with math. For the biology related classes, I used to work in emergency medicine as an EMT for a couple years, and I know biology and human anatomy pretty well. I also used to work for Sony's online gaming division for a few years writing correspondence, and recently took the GRE and was in the top 10% for Analytical Writing. I did go through the advanced "engineering" calculus courses, despite there being a simpler set of courses required for economics. As for why I'm trying to be a tutor, I'm currently in the process of pursuing a few Economist and Analyst jobs that have lengthy application processes. Tutoring allows for that flexibility and lets me keep my skills sharp while helping along someone else along on their path. I do very much enjoy teaching, so long as the other person is willing to listen.

Hobbies
I'm eclectic, but a bit more of a nerd/geek. I play 4 instruments and speak 4 languages, all somewhat roughly. Those are, in order that I learned them: saxophone, guitar, piano, flute; english, spanish, french, japanese. I love anime, not super big into sports, but I do love martial arts. I'm also a gamer. I think there's a lot of overlap between "education," "hobbies," and my "life," so I don't mind including that I spend time (a lot of time) on political, economic, law, psychological, and urban planning subjects.
